Paddle North

Come enjoy a week at Buck Lake #7!

A “Muskoka beauty”  Paddle North is situated at the north tip of Buck lake with expansive views right down the lake. A truly incredible place to just sit and listen to nature, the lake, the birds and the peace and quiet of Muskoka. This charming cottage offers a fully equipped kitchen so that you can make delicious cottage meals that you can either enjoy inside at the table overlooking the lake or outside on the sun deck. If you are looking for a relaxing place to unwind and enjoy some family time then Paddle North is just the place for you.

The cottage is a large open concept ground floor walkout with kitchen, dining and living area that boast large windows overlooking the lake. The Master bedroom and 4 piece bathroom are also on the ground floor. The living area walks out onto a large covered screened in deck where you can enjoy your morning coffee with a captivating view like no other. Inside ceilings are all pine lined throughout the cottage. Upstairs there are 2 large bedrooms that are pine-lined with wood floors throughout to stay true to the traditional cottage feel. Each room has their own private Juliet balcony overlooking Buck lake. Every window in the cottage offers an incredible view of the water or nature.

Outside you are surrounded by mature trees of all kinds for your enjoyment and your privacy. The property is completely flat with a large yard out front to enjoy many different outside activities. You can also enjoy an evening fire with family and friends around the firepit lakeside while you sit under the great northern sky filled with stars as far as the eye can see! A wonderful place to enjoy a glass of wine with the sound of water lapping up against the shore, the crackling of the fire or just the silence of nature in the background. We encourage you to stop trying to imagine it and come and experience it for yourself.

The waterfront is a perfect place to sit and enjoy a good book, a swim, the south exposure offering you sun all day, watching the kids enjoy hours of fun in the water or just flat out relaxing. You will find a sandy beach with gradual entrance into the water which is wonderful for young one’s as well as the more seasoned swimmers. Enjoy a paddle around the lake in the canoe, kayaks, paddleboard or just sit on the dock and take it all in. There is great fishing on Buck lake. The lake was apart of a Ministry stock of Pickerel about 15 years ago for a couple of years and you can also find Northern Pike and Bass.
