Summer 2021
Hi Heidi, we had a great time! We were very impressed with how professional Northern Retreats is. The cottage was spotless and everything was as expected. We really enjoyed the kayaks and pedal boats. Turns out it was just my husband and I and our daughter for the week and only one of our sons for four days. We ended up taking this week off instead of an August week, so we’re no longer looking for another cottage, but thank you so much for thinking of us. We’d like to book something for two weeks next year.

Hi Amy,
All is good. Back home now and we had a good time. Beautiful cottage. Just wanted to let you know that we broke a small glass. That was the only incident. Overall we would rent it again. WiFi was very unreliable but that is something to be expected there.

Summer 2017
Just to let you know we had a great vacation despite the weather. Looks like we missed out on some wicked weather yesterday. The cottage was perfect but the lake not so much. It was a little too weedy for our liking and I got munched on by a leech. So that is pretty much a deal breaker for Buck Lake. The one positive thing about the lake was I finally heard my loons which I've been waiting two years for. I was hoping it would be the one.
I also found broken glass at the bottom of the porch stairs I'm pretty sure I got it all but maybe tell your cleaners. The propane tank was pretty much full before we left so you can let the new renters know about the tank exchange.
Looking forward to next year are there any options for us besides Buck Lake?

It was a wonderful stay, we loved every minute of it. We loved it so much we felt like making an offer to buy it! We would love to go back there sometime.
Yes we did in fact leave behind a couple of Items (that we know of). Let us know if there is anything else that we might have left. We would appreciate if you could send those items to us at the address that you have.

Just wanted to let you know that my daughter and I, along with her two small children, had a wonderful stay. We broke a wine glass which I replaced with two glasses and a beer glass which I replaced with a large glass. Our stay was uneventful ie NO MICE! We were pleased. Being on our own we weren't sure how we were going to handle this but no worries. We did experience a hail storm but otherwise the weather was great. My two year old grandson did not want to go home. He wanted to live there. So did Nana! Very relaxing and wonderful to spend 24-7 with my beautiful grandchildren. Thanks.

We had a fantastic time at the cottage with the kids and dogs having a blast. The weather was perfect and the cottage was clean and well maintained. One point to mention was that my daughter broke one glass from a set of eight. After looking in a few stores, we replaced it but unfortunately we couldn’t find an exact replacement so we found the closest one.

We just wanted to send a quick email to you letting you know about our cottage experience.
Despite the weather, we had a great time, the cottage was exactly what we expected from the pictures and the property was fantastik! The kids had lots of room to play and the sand beach was perfect!
Thank you for your help with the booking, and for coming out to the cottage when we couldn't find the garage keys.
We'll see you again next year.
