Summer 2025

I’m glad you reached out, we had been planning (even before you sent this email!), that we wanted to provide feedback for the absolutely gorgeous Deer Crest cottage, Buck Lake #26!!

To say this cottage went above and beyond our expectations is an understatement. From the moment we arrived we were impressed by how clean and organized everything was. The pride of ownership is extremely evident. We could go on and on about the plentiful amount of land to roam, the breathtaking views of the sunrise, the incredible lack of pest activity, the privacy and overall serenity while staying at this property. All of the stresses from back home seemed to melt away.

Some highlights we would like to point out that maybe other guests haven’t included are the tremendous amount of hooks for hanging personal items! This was noticed and appreciated! The availability of supplies, and the well equipped kitchen which has more gadgets than our homes! The labels on all of the light switches/outlets is a very nice touch! One of my favorite parts was sitting on the deck watching the sunrise and drinking coffee, while entertaining visits from the adorable little hummingbirds 🙂 We absolutely adored our getaway here and made many fond memories, from floating off the dock, to canoeing the perimeter of Buck Lake! We planned on doing more day trips during our stay, but ended up  enjoying it so much that the only time we left was on the Friday to take our garbage to the dump! We would love to book again in the future.

Summer 2023

Good morning, Heidi. 

Our week at Buck Lake was amazing. We have rented many cottages over the years, but this was by far the best. The cottage is beautiful, inside and out - the decor, the view, the flowers. The quiet was just what we needed.  We had everything we could have wanted. The lake was great, as we enjoyed swimming and canoeing. Of course the weather made our stay even better. The bunkie was thoroughly enjoyed by our grandson and his friend. The only thing that would hold us back from returning next year is the stairs. Rather challenging for a couple in their eighties! Have a great summer! Ours certainly started on a high.

Hi Heidi 

Hope all is well! We had a good time at Deer Crest cottage. What a wonderful view and setting! We were unfortunately unlucky with the weather as it rained a lot and was quite chilly and very overcast, so didn't get to enjoy the superb dock or BBQ like we would like to have. The board games selection was fabulous, so we got to enjoy great family time playing those, and enjoyed reading in the Muskoka Room whilst taking in the marvelous lake views and feeling snug with the handy electric fireplace.
